Meadow Lane Farm has been in the Hirsh family for over 5 generations. The family has been the caretaker of this magnificent piece of land and over 2 miles of the Jackson River, preserving it and protecting it for generations to come, ensuring that this 1400 acre treasure remains an unspoiled place of beauty forever.

Change is in the air, however, and Meadow Lane Farm is looking for a new family to take ownership and steward the farm for future generations. The Hirsh family has engaged Ryan Hodges, Broker of Clarkson & Wallace Real Estate, to find that new family. The offering includes 856.97 acres of the farm from the middle of the Jackson river and the land east of the river to include The Lodge, The 1860s house, several cottages and barns. For more information about this once in a lifetime offering, click here to visit the Clarkson & Wallace website or contact Ryan Hodges directly at (540) 969-6700.

During this transition, Meadow Lane Lodge and Cottages will still be available for your family getaways and fishing excursions. Clarkson & Wallace will be managing the reservations for stays beginning August 1, 2015. You may visit their vacation rental website by clicking here or call Beth Rogers at (540) 839-2609.

There will be a few changes as we move forward: The Lodge will no longer be a Bed & Breakfast but will be available for families to rent as a single family residence; Walnut Cottage, White Oak Cottage and Swiggle will no longer be available; the Farm will no longer be hosting large weddings or events; fly-fishing will be available for all guests with no additional rod fees. (The river will be stocked twice through October; no spin rods, please).

Thanks to all of you who have loved Meadow Lane Farm over the years and have been such loyal guests. Rest assured that during this transition, the cottages will continue to be meticulously maintained and you will enjoy the same level of superior care as you have had in the past.

Meadow Lane Farm is a three-hour drive from Richmond, Virginia, a 1 hour drive from both Charlottesville and Roanoke, Virginia and 15 miles from the West Virginia line.
